Prince Michael of Kent visited Balaklava Green project



His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent has visited Balaklava mining group, on which land plot a year-round resort of Balaklava Green is creating. Prince plans to help to present the project to the European investors.

From September, 22 till September, 24th, member of English royal family, Prince Michael of Kent, has visited Sevastopol and Balaklava. The purpose of private visit was discussion around Balaklava Green project development.

The member of royal family has accepted the invitation to see by himself project scale and potential effect to region development. During the flight by helicopter He has examined project sites which already being at various stages of preparation and planning.  

As has noted by His Highness, there are a lot of changes in Crimea since His last visit in 1999. «Even it is difficult to imagine that this is the same place, - Prince Michael of Kent has noted, - All people with whom I have discussed this project are very proud that this place will change even more after realization the Balaklava Green project».  

He added that the success of the Balaklava Green depends on the development of infrastructure in the region, and, as he said, Crimea has great natural resources for such projects.  

The prince said that he will share the information on the project with the European investors, will tell them what he has seen in Crimea. «For people who realize this project is very important that there is a possibility to realize the best examples of international practice of architecture and marketing at the new place» - says Prince Michael of Kent.  


Prince Michael of Kent (Michael George Charles Franklin; born 4 July 1942) is a grandson of King George V and Queen Mary, making him a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. He is also the grandnephew of last Tsar Nicholas II of Russia.
